Our Vision

Rural Synergy’s Vision for the apprenticeship program is a human centered job training program cultivating rural resident's basic and specialized work skills that align with the economies needs. High quality training will be mixed with work experience over the course of 6 months to a year. Individuals are provided opportunities to learn, soft skills, hard skills (specific to job) and life skills such as healthy work-life balance and financial education.

Why complete an Apprenticeship?

Rural Synergy apprenticeships  receive a paid education while earning pay increases that will result in a livable wage.  After the completion of the program fellows will have gained a resume worthy skill set that they can continue to use at the Rural Synergy Foundation or go on to grow a different career.

Who qualifies for the program?

All trainees must meet eligibility requirement to be considered for the workforce training program.  Eligibility requirements include:

  • At least 18 years old
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent

Trainees must fall into at least one of the following demographics:

  • Personal Income of less than $20,000 a year
  • Veteran
  • Mother of Children under 16
  • Unemployed for 6 months or longer
  • Disabled (Short Term acceptable with Doctors Note.)
