Our Vision

Rural Synergy’s Vision for the apprenticeship program is a human centered job training program cultivating the rural resident's basic and specialized work skills that align with the economy's needs. High quality training will be mixed with work experience over the course of 6 months to a year. Individuals are provided opportunities to learn soft skills, hard skills (specific to job) and life skills such as healthy work-life balance and financial education.

Why complete an Apprenticeship?

Rural Synergy apprenticeships  receive a paid education while earning pay increases that will result in a livable wage.  After the completion of the program, fellows will have gained a resume worthy skill set that they can continue to use at the Rural Synergy Foundation or go on to grow a different career.

Who qualifies for the program?

All trainees must meet eligibility requirements to be considered for the workforce training program.  Eligibility requirements include:

  • At least 18 years old
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent

When there are limited options preference will be given to one of the following:

  • Single Parent
  • Veteran
  • Unemployed for 6 months or longer
  • Disabled (Short Term acceptable with Doctors Note)
